What to Expect

During your initial visit, the doctor will spend 30-60 minutes with you completing a detailed health history and a thorough examination. If x-rays are necessary, the doctor will refer you to an x-ray facility. If chiropractic care is appropriate, the doctor may choose to treat you during this initial visit. If another practitioner is necessary, she will make an effort refer you to the appropriate provider. She will make recommendations to aid in recovery and prevent recurrence. Dr. Baar will explain the treatment procedure, what takes place during the treatment, and why the treatment is being performed. Dr. Baar is always open to answering questions and addressing any concerns you might have at any time throughout your care.

Other forms required during a visit may include neck or back pain questionnaires or motor vehicle accident information depending on the nature of the injury and complaint.
 

Follow-up visits are generally shorter than the initial visit. Once established, patients have access to all treatment interventions: chiropractic, acupuncture and Active Release Technique ®. You can discuss with Dr. Baar which types of treatments, or combination of treatments, will best suit your particular needs.
